Guardian Program
We are a small family breeding program and we desire to raise the healthiest Australian Labradoodles possible. Given this, we want our breeding dogs to be in a home where they will be loved, nurtured and well cared for as part of a loving forever family. Since we cannot keep all of our breeding dogs under our roof, we use Guardian Homes so our dogs can be a part of their forever home from the start.
As a Guardian Home, you will receive the “Breeder’s Choice” from the litter at a significantly reduced cost to be your family’s forever furry friend. With a breeding dog, there are certain requirements which must be met along the way. Many, if not all, of these requirements are things you would likely do regardless of if you are a Guardian Home.

Guardian Home Basic Requirements
- Must live within an hour drive (60 miles) from Trussville, AL
- Own your own home, the dog must live inside with your family and you must have a secure fenced yard.
- You must feed the dog a diet designated by Magic City Doodles for the health and wellness of the dog.
- Provide and maintain routine veterinary care such as annual vaccinations, flea and tick prevention, etc. . . for the dog
- There can be absolutely NO intact males residing on the premises if you have a female dog from our program.
- As a Guardian of a Magic City Doodles breeding dog, you cannot leave the dog for more than 5 hours a day. In order to provide an outstanding breeding dog, we want our Guardians to provide appropriate socialization for the dogs. This would include things such as taking the dog to work, allowing homeschooling children to be with the dog throughout the day, working from home or at least one family member being at home most of the day, etc.
- Complete obedience training with the puppy around 4-6 months old.
- Willingness to maintain open lines of communication with us on any matters relating to the dog.
- Allow us to visit your home and the dog periodically. Transport the dog to us for breeding purposes as well as for health testing.
- Keep the dog groomed by a professional groomer who is well trained in Australian Labradoodle cuts and is willing to groom the dog to Magic City Doodles standards.
